Locker Installation

Locker Installation at Lockertek is simple. Generally, Locker Installation is recommended on orders of 10 or more lockers.

The reason this is not advisable for orders of smaller than 10 is due to it not being as cost-effective. If you are looking for installation of 10 or fewer lockers, the best thing Lockertek can suggest is to contact a local handyman as this will cut out any costs associated with travel of our engineers to site and back.

Locker Installation can begin once a Locker Site Survey has been completed which can include the following:

  1. Planning and Design: Determine the number, size, and type of lockers required based on the intended purpose and available space. Consider factors such as security, accessibility, and functionality. This can be done by yourselves or you can have one of our team come to site and help you out to ensure you measure everything correctly and give you some recommendations as to what you may need to fulfil your requirements.
  2. Procurement: Purchase or order the lockers, ensuring they meet the specified requirements in terms of size, material, locking mechanisms, and any additional features. This can be done easily by yourself by either visiting the product page on our website and ordering online, or, by getting in touch with us via email for bulk discounts when purchasing 10+ lockers together in one order.

Locker Installation here at Lockertek typically involves the following steps:

  1. Site Preparation: Prepare the area where the lockers will be installed. This may involve clearing the space, ensuring proper ventilation, and providing electrical outlets if needed.
  2. Installation: Assemble and install the lockers according to the manufacturer’s instructions. This includes attaching locker panels, doors, hinges, and locks. Depending on the type of lockers, installation may involve bolting them to the floor or wall for added stability.
  3. Finishing Touches: Once the lockers are installed, make any necessary adjustments, such as levelling or aligning them properly. Ensure that the locking mechanisms are functional, and check for any defects or damages.
  4. Signage and Labelling: Install appropriate signage or labels to identify each locker, assign them to users if necessary, and provide instructions or rules regarding their usage.
  5. Maintenance and Upkeep: Establish a maintenance plan to regularly inspect and clean the lockers, repair any damages, and ensure that the locking mechanisms are working effectively.

Locker Installation aims to provide secure and organised storage spaces for individuals to store their personal belongings while ensuring ease of use and maintaining the overall security of the facility.
