A Locker Cam Lock is one of the easiest, cheapest, and most simple to operate locker locks. They can also be used on cupboards, cabinets and other applications that require a locking mechanism to secure the door shut and keep the belongings inside safe.
Locker Cam Locks are made up of a cylinder and a cam bar which rotates when operated with a key which is why they can also be referred to as Keyed Locks (implying they are operated by a key to lock and unlock them).
The great thing about Locker Cam Locks when it comes to lockers is that when ordering any of the lockers on our website, they are normally a no cost option when you personalise your lockers and choose the lock type you require which makes them a very popular choice by many of our customers. When ordered separately as spares or replacements, they are then a chargeable item.
Locker Cam Locks are also ideal if you are looking for a lock which doesn’t protrude out of the locker door too much as they are considered a flush fit locking option, keeping everything looking sleek and streamline when, for example, large groups of lockers are installed in a single wall run.
Locker Cam Locks work by simply inserting the key supplied and turning it 90 degrees clockwise to unlock and open the door or, 90 degrees anti-clockwise to lock it and secure the door shut. The main question you will need to answer (if you are making the lockers/application yourself) is the type of material they will be being used on and the thickness of it – this will then help us to recommend or for you to find one with a long enough barrel on it.

Sometimes, if you have not ordered the original lockers/locks from us before, we may ask for the key series that your current/other locks are on so that the replacement locks will still work on the master key you have already.
Locker Cam Locks are easy to install/replace as they are fitted simply by inserting the cam bar end of the lock through the whole in the door and either securing them in place by a brass fixing nut which screws down the barrel of the lock or, by putting a horseshoe clip just behind the front of the lock so they do not move around.
